 Wild caught shrimp is quickly becoming a diminishing resource due to overfishing while legacy shrimp farming is unsustainable, fraught with declining yields arising from escalating levels of disease and environmental deterioration, reliance on harmful chemicals and limited product traceability. 

The Company believes a shift has begun in consideration of more intensive, socially responsible, eco-friendly, closed-loop land-based farms.

Through 8 years of research and development, the Company has developed what it believes to be a revolutionary, proprietary, commercial-scale clear water recirculating aquaculture system in a 66,000 square foot facility in Ontario, Canada with additional space available for expansion. 

The Industry Problem

• Environmentally Destructive: overfishing has resulted in ocean deterioration and declining seafood stocks, wild-caught shrimp is plagued by significant bycatch, and the inland ponds used in traditional shrimp farming cause ecological devastation and substantial CO2emissions 
• Foreign Supply: 90% of shrimp consumed in the U.S. is imported from countries with minimal food safety regulation
• Harmful Chemicals: traditional shrimp farms engage in widespread use of antibiotics, hormones and pesticides
• Limited Traceability: current methods have limited cold-chain traceability, the country or region of origin is often unclear, and there are significant issues involving product fraud/mislabeling

Scalable Platform Poised for Massive Growth

• Enormous Addressable Market: products satisfy the need for healthy and sustainable protein in an enormous market (over 1.6 billion pounds consumed annually in North America)
• Modular Technology: patented stacked, shallow raceway physical infrastructure (current facility is 4 stacks, 6 levels high), which are modular in nature so can be adapted to many different configurations and scaled up over time
• Proprietary Software: internally developed smartfarm proprietary management software, which monitors and controls over 4,000 data points on a real-time basis and has been designed to facilitate real-time remote monitoring/analysis based on high-resolution imagery and full-farm connectivity
• Location Flexibility: given the unique technology, the facilities can be located almost anywhere (no need for access to saltwater, coastline, etc.) so customer proximity and input cost/financing dynamics will determine specific locations

Expansion strategy underway with an initial focus on company-owned facilities close to urban markets in the United States. Management is focused on rolling out our patented, indoor, environmentally sustainable closed-loop RAS technology to supply safe, healthy seafood to the planet. Our indoor aquaculture solution is the socially responsible alternative to the rampant overfishing for wild caught that has significantly diminished stocks in the oceans and legacy farming’s continuing reliance on unhealthy chemicals and questionable farming practices.
